Welcome to Ramen Taifu, a gem nestled at 39 Fife St, Mong Kok, Hong Kong, where the art of ramen is taken to remarkable heights. This intimate eatery, known for its vibrant ambiance steeped in Japanese culture, captures the essence of ramen through its meticulously crafted dishes. Whether you are a casual diner or a ramen aficionado, Ramen Taifu serves up an experience that extends beyond mere sustenance.
From 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm, the aromas of rich broths and perfectly cooked noodles beckon diners to indulge in a bowl of warmth and flavor. Signature items like the Koboshi Broth Ramen (HK$95.00) and Shrimp and Pork Broth Ramen (HK$98.00) promise a culinary journey that celebrates umami in all its forms. One of the standout elements is the balance of flavors; customers rave about the richness of the Gyokai broth, which delicately accentuates the seafood essence that accompanies the thick, carry-every-drop noodles.
Moreover, the Tsukemen has garnered quite a following, with patrons appreciating its sizeable portions and tasty profile, although some note the wait time for a table can be significant. The lively atmosphere offers an authentic ramen dining experience, though the compact space may require some patience.
Customer reviews highlight the stellar quality of the ingredients and the ramen itself, with mentions of the satisfying springiness of noodles and the generous additional toppings available, such as pork belly slices (HK$30.00) and “everything sets” (HK$42.00). It’s this combination of quality and quantity that makes Ramen Taifu a favorite in the bustling Mong Kok district.

Decided to enjoy a meal here. Tsukemen was tasty and decently priced. Portions were big but quite a bit of wait time as we had to line up for a while. The restaurant was unique but quite small. Some areas felt a bit unsanitary, but nonetheless, it was good meal.

Been here a few times but for lunch only because of our slight preference for tsukemen. This time we went for dinner and ordered one prawn ramen and one bonito ramen. Both broths were delicious as always and the noodles were okish springy noodles (not as springy compared to tsukemen). We paid $10 for extra noodles and $32 for additional pork belly and $42 for the “everything set” which includes a generous amount of bamboo shoots, 10 seaweeds, 2 pieces of pork and an egg. It came to a total of $275 and their portions were so huge that we had to take away half a bowl of ramen. Good price good quality. The slight complaint would be that the ramen broth was served too hot. It was impossible to eat without burning your tongue. A decent ramen spot in Mongkok.

First time to visit Ramen Taifu after its renovation. Luckily the taste remains the same as before The interior looks similar too, full of decorations related to Japanese culture, except the metallic table has been replaced Ordered the tomato shrimp tsukemen which is only available in the afternoon Still one of the best and most convenient ramen shops in the Mong Kok district

This is absolutely one of the best ramen restaurants in Hong Kong! The Gyokai broth is really rich, which accentuates the umami of the seafood. It is paired with thick noodles which can carry the most broth everytime you slurp. Delicious!

Really really nice broth, definitely placed in top 10 of my favorite japanese noodle, but the portion is way too much for me, the cook is japanese! I got a tomato broth, pork soup and it's really good, they serve free lemon water too
